Zolia Norage is a six-year-old girl who is not looking forward to first grade. She is meeting her new teacher at class orientation for the first time and is using her very active imagination to try to get what she wants.

I am seeking representation for this short, 780-word, story written for early, first-grade readers. Younger children will enjoy following along with the images and relatable story as it is read to them. Emerging readers will stretch their vocabulary and grow their reading skills with short sentences and understandable ideas.

This became a favorite of my own first-grade daughter’s class earlier this year with its colorful illustrations and lighthearted, yet intelligent writing style.
